The Million Fathers March (MFM) is an opportunity for dads, uncles, grandfathers, coaches, mentors, clergy, men’s groups and organizations to show their commitment to the educational lives of their children throughout the school year by escorting children to school on this day.

Five Things for Schools
Here are five things schools can do to participate in Million Fathers March on September 28, 2018.
You can also become a school partner, sign up for information sessions and receive general information.
Invite dads/male caregivers to your school on September 28th.
Plan a small welcoming event (breakfast, information distribution).
Set goals for increase male involvement (PTA, Volunteers, Mystery Readers).
Invite community resource organizations to address escorting dads.
Real Dads Read
Start a “Real Dads Read” club at the school.
Our Theme for the Day
Our theme for the day is Real Dads Read. We encourage dads, uncles, coaches, mentors, clergy, men’s groups to engage in LITERACY ACTIVITIES for the day.
